After finishing his career as a professional footballer in 2001, Gonçalves started a job as a football commentator on the SPORTV channel of the Globosat network, but because of the great relationship he has built with players and clubs in many countries throughout his career, Gonçalves began to be consulted by many clubs abroad, mainly of Mexican soccer, where he played for 5 years, about some players and clubs of Brazilian soccer. From 2003, he began to provide advice to Mexican clubs and clubs in Scandinavia (Sweden, Denmark, Norway), having established a strong relationship with many clubs, mainly in Sweden, where he appointed more than 50 Brazilian players between 2003 and 2010 to Several 1 and 2 division clubs. Gonçalves has also advised clubs in the Netherlands, Russia, Spain, Portugal, Japan, Koréia and many clubs in Brazil. In 2004, Gonçalves was one of the founders of the Estácio de Sá Futebol Clube University, a club-company of one of the largest private universities in Brazil. He was the founder of the project because of the experience he had acquired for playing in a professional soccer club in Mexico , The Autonomous University of Guadalajara (TECOS) and for having known, other clubs of other universities in Mexico in the professional league. In addition to having worked as executive director of football at Estácio de Sá Futebol Clube from 2004 to 2007, Gonçalves also worked in 2015/2016 as executive soccer director at Avaí Futebol Clube, the first division of Brazilian football.
A graduate of Sports Management from FGV / CIES / FIFA, Gonçalves also provides consulting services to the ICAFE (Intergovernmental Fund for Collaborative Action for Excellence) in South America. Organization based in NY and Dubai, which develop projects with children and youth through world.
As a sports commentator, Gonçalves worked on the television channels Sportv, CNT and Bandeirante (Band TV) and on Transamérica FM radio, Bradesco FM sports.
Gonçalves has also provided consulting in schools, universities, companies and sporting events, as a speaker. Developing topics such as Motivation and Overcoming.
